I am driven by the question of how sustainability and, in particular, the generation of impact really works in practice – beyond buzzwords and pure fulfilment of duty. Real estate and infrastructure are an important transformation lever, and I am convinced that a real ecological and social impact can be generated by transferring strategically meaningful impulses into operationally clean decisions.

With a professional focus on ESG regulation and sustainability, I have been supporting the practical implementation of regulatory requirements since the introduction of European sustainable finance regulation. At Universal-Investment, I was involved in setting up the ESG office and developed processes, governance structures and auditing standards for sustainable fund strategies. In my career to date, I have built up deep regulatory expertise and developed an understanding of investment processes as well as different asset classes – from liquid securities to real estate and alternative investments.

Sustainability should not be understood as a formal obligation, but as an integral part of investment decisions, processes and credible communication. Therefore, especially in my role as Manager Financial and Sustainability Reporting at Next Generation Invest GmbH, it is important to me to further strengthen the interlinking of financial reporting with sustainability reporting.
