The NEXT Infrastruktur Fonds focuses its investments on infrastructure projects, particularly in the areas of energy infrastructure and technologies that aim to modernize or decarbonize critical sectors. This includes investments in social infrastructure. In the energy sector, the focus is primarily on renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and biomass (including investments in pyrolysis plants). Particular attention will be paid to innovative technologies for CO₂ storage and the production of plant biochar. Diversification takes place in other infrastructure sectors such as the circular economy, waste management, water supply, energy transmission, energy storage, and digital infrastructure. The investment strategy pursues long-term capital growth through investments in the aforementioned areas, taking into account both environmental and social aspects. In the area of social infrastructure, the fund focuses primarily on educational real estate, administrative and office buildings with tenants from the infrastructure sector, and digital infrastructure properties. Selection criteria include the location and size of the property as well as positive long-term developments at the locations.
